USB devices and bootup problems

One of the most common problems encountered when using a PC is a boot failure. This means when you turn on your PC or when you restart it, it does not go through the whole boot up cycle. It hangs at some point and no keyboard press can make it continue the boot up cycle. All you’re left to do is to restart your PC hoping that it will boot up successfully this time. Sometimes a reset actually helps but there are times when it won’t.
Although there are a number of reasons for a Pc to fail to boot up there’s one thing you should check when this happens to you. Simply look at the USB ports of your PC and find out if any USB flash drive or portable hard drive is attached to one of the ports. This is commonly one of the culprits for a boot failure because the PC attempts to read all of the storage devices attached to it. Just remove these devices and your PC will boot up successfully.
