Operating System Clean Install – Last Resort (Part 1)
There comes a time when you simply have tons of files and programs that are getting onto your nerves and even with uninstalls of unused ones still fails to speed up your perfectly good PC, then the only option would be to do a clean re-install of your OS and all the programs you may be using. It may be a good time to do a total PC cleaning, taking out hidden dust bunnies and others from the innards of the PC, with a healthy memory upgrade to match. You could also consider upgrading your hard drive to a larger one if you think you’d be needing it. First step, back up all files (documents, pictures, audio and others) onto CD’s or DVD’s for safety’s sake.
If you have an original installer of the OS that is bootable, then you’re one step closer to beginning, you’d also need copies of all the programs you use but ones that come from online sources can be easily downloaded once you’re all setup. (One Important Warning, Doing a clean install would result in all un-backed up files sent to PC heaven forever gone, it might also take you the better part of a day to do all of this if you want to do it on your own)
