Windows 7 – Vista in a new Package

Filed under: Information, Memory — Administrator @ 2:02 am

windows7_3Microsoft denies the fact that their new and upcoming version of the popular Windows OS is a derivative of Vista which is set to go on sale this coming year. They have not been discreet about the whole thing yet have been secretive about pricing and any final details. The beta edition is already out and is undergoing testing by many industry experts who have managed to get hold of copies through the internet. Of the facts that have surfaced, one thing is for sure, they will come in the same flavors as Vista did and it may include upgrade options for XP users.
There is a surprisingly alarming development with the software maker, a patent for an application killer software that has the ability to deny access to a software’s full features or even deny access through software of certain hardware devices. For what purpose they may have needed such a software, we can only speculate. It may have to do with their hardening stance of ridding the world of unlicensed copies of older XP versions that had weak copy protection and their WGA failed to catch. Win 7 is coming and their making it known, what we would be expecting is still quite fuzzy, till they go on sale.
